Celebrating the Weenie

Simply put, Screaming Weenie is a celebration of Queerness. Whether Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Gay or just Unconventional, Queerness causes Greatness.

Since 2002, the Weenie has queered up stages throughout the city while establishing itself as a home for artists of all hues. This year is no different.

I am very excited to be presenting our new play workshop and reading series, Clean Sheets, with the Pride In Art Festival at the Roundhouse in August. After accepting submissions from across the country, we are teaming up playwrights with Vancouver directors and actors to present these new queer stories to you, our audience. Clean Sheets is just one of the ways we are committed to developing our artists.

Over the coming months, we will be rolling out our calendar to include artists workshops and productions. Consider including us in your plans this year.

Screaming Weenie Productions is an award-winning theatre company and registered non-profit society in British Columbia since 2002.

Our Mission
Screaming Weenie's mission is to produce and promote queer and sex positive performance, facilitating a stronger queer community by creating and encouraging the performing arts and artists. We strive to create greater positive public awareness and acceptance, through the performing arts, of individuals and groups outside of sexual and gender norms.
