QWEST

Qwest is Screaming Weenie’s play development program for British Columbia playwrights working on queer-themed work. Selected writers spend time developing their play with a Screaming Weenie dramaturge. Qwest is indicative of Screaming Weenie’s commitment to new work and to supporting and developing local theatre artists.

If you are interested in participating in Qwest, please submit a query to C. E. Gatchalian at chris@screamingweenie.com. The query should include an artist’s CV, a description of the play you’re working on, and a statement about what you hope to accomplish with the play and why you’d like to develop it with Screaming Weenie. Please note that because of the volume of submissions and the limited slots available, submission of a query does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
